Tuk Tuk Export Case – Secure Packing and Dispatch to Congo
Case Overview:
A Congolese transportation company needed 50 electric tuk tuks to upgrade their urban mobility fleet. The key challenge was ensuring the tuk tuks arrived safely in Kinshasa (Congo) after a long sea and land transit. This case highlights our secure packing solutions and smooth dispatch process that guaranteed zero damage during shipment.
Customer Demand & Transit Challenges:
The Congolese customer required tuk tuk express that were durable, energy-efficient, and suitable for Kinshasa’s busy urban roads. Additionally, the transit route (sea from our port to Matadi Port, then land to Kinshasa) involved rough handling and potential moisture, requiring strict secure packing to prevent damage to the tuk tuks’ electrical components and bodywork.
Secure Packing & Dispatch Solutions:
1.We take apart every single battery rickshaw first—wheels off, windshields removed, seats out. Why? To shrink the size so they fit better in containers, and most importantly, to avoid any damage from jostling during transit. For the electrical bits—batteries, motors, all that sensitive stuff—we wrap ’em up tight in thick waterproof, anti-static foam and heavy plastic film. No moisture seeping in, no static zapping anything—they’re fully protected. The body itself gets wrapped in scratch-proof bubble wrap, then layered with tough cardboard to keep dents and scrapes away.
2.On top of that, we don’t just toss ’em in a container and call it a day. We use heavy-duty steel brackets and anti-slip straps to lock each packed tuk tuk down solid. No side-to-side sliding, no bouncing up and down—they stay put, no matter how rough the journey gets. We also throw in moisture-absorbing desiccant packs to keep humidity in check—no rust, no mold, just dry, intact parts when they arrive.
3.And before we send anything out the door? Our QC team goes over every packed tuk tuk with a fine-tooth comb. They check that the packaging is snug and secure, that nothing’s loose or missing. We also make sure all the extras—tools, spare parts, everything you need—are there and accounted for. We don’t ship until we’re 100% sure
4. Dispatch & Transit Tracking: We arranged shipment with a trusted logistics partner specializing in African routes. The customer received real-time transit updates, and the container arrived at Matadi Port on schedule. We also provided support for land transport to Kinshasa.
