Case Overview:
A Sri Lankan mobility service provider planned to replace their old fleet with 100 high-performance auto rickshaws. To evaluate the automatic rickshaw’ suitability for Sri Lanka’s
busy urban and rural roads, we organized a comprehensive road test in Colombo and its surrounding areas. This case details how the real driving performance demonstration convinced the customer and facilitated a successful cooperation.

Real Driving Performance Road Test Execution:
1. Test Route Planning: We designed a 150km test route covering Colombo’s downtown (congested roads, traffic lights), suburban highways, and rural dirt roads – simulating the customer’s daily operation scenarios. 2. Test Items & Results: • Fuel Efficiency Test: The auto tuk tuk consumed only 5L/100km in urban areas and 4.2L/100km on highways, meeting the customer’s cost-saving goals. • Maneuverability Test: Easily navigated narrow lanes and tight turns in Colombo’s old town, with responsive steering and braking. • Comfort Test: Passengers reported minimal vibration and noise, even on rural dirt roads, thanks to the vehicle’s shock absorption system. • Durability Test: The vehicle operated continuously for 8 hours without mechanical failures, demonstrating reliable performance. 3. Customer Participation: The customer’s management and driver teams participated in the road test, with our technical team on hand to explain performance data and answer questions.
